I was using a 5''0 rod and real with 6 lb. test. I always go to Wal-Mart before I head out to the lake I spend about 20$ on one fishing trip, but it's worth it because there are some nice slab's in web lake. I use read and white jigs ( make sure use the plastic bodies ) not feather they are a waste of time the plastic is better it percents more of a natural fall for fish. thanks have fun and be safe..... If you came for an overnight stay Little Glasses Resort is a splendid location to camp; you can run the rapids of Pennington Creek. Through the summer highs here at Webb Lake get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 70's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's, and night lows during the wintertime for Webb Lake tend to be in the 20's. Webb Lake       is a good site of normal rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. Camping is available at Cumberland Cove Resort, and a good site for whitewater paddling is Blue River. This lake is so wonderful.
