If you are traveling by, why not stop by Veterans Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Washita River. Veterans Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Lakes are tremendous; Lacy Lake is a lake that's right next door to Veterans Lake, and a wonderful place to camp here at Veterans Lake is Platt Trailer Park. Beach Springs is a pleasant local attraction, and a quick visit

Dry warm beds await you at Microtel Inn and Suites Davis, and you can catch a glimpse of Mount Airy from Veterans Lake. Summer at Veterans Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 70's. Highs all through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 50's while Veterans Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. Recreation Area if you're here at Veterans Lake, and why not camp at Arbuckle Rv Resort since you're here at Veterans Lake. Very nice water scenery is available at Veterans Lake Dam close to Veterans Lake; Sulphur Super 8 Motel is
a nice spot to get some rest. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Rock Creek Site 9 Reservoir, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Cliffside Trail.
