Looking for some flowing water? Try Rock Creek, and a wonderful close by hotel is Days Inn. Man, is there loads of cool stuff to do in the Ouachita Mountains. The Wildhorse Trail is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Talihina Lake, and Talihina Lake is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, Clancey's Cabins and RV Park is a magnificent place to camp nearby. Just can't get enough of Talihina Lake. High       temperatures at Talihina Lake during the summertime months are in the 90's. Summer night lows descend down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 50's; nighttime lows throughout the winter for Talihina Lake tend to be in the 20's. Near Talihina Lake you stumble on the Boardstand Trail which is a great hiking trail, and Devils Hollow is a great place to spend some time. Talihina Lake gets a large amount of water; the month with most of the                  rain is May while January is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is good here at Talihina Lake, you can go for a hike along the K Trail; at Talihina Lake Dam in the neighborhood of Talihina Lake there are some exciting things to see.
