     The beauty of Sunk Lake attracts many people from all around. These mountains rock, just check out all the exciting stuff to do in the Ouachita Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Idabel, and going for a hike along the West Signal Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. You simply have to adore the Ouachita Mountains. While you're here at Sunk Lake you can take a hike along the Little Horseshoe Trail. Through the long summer  
   days highs here at Sunk Lake reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Sunk Lake tend to be in the 20's.
There's so much to do here at Sunk Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hochatown State Park is a nice spot for that, and hiking along the Beaver Lodge Nature Trail is nice fun. This lake is so wonderful. Courthouse Creek is close to Sunk
 
               Lake and is always a bliss to go to. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Sunk Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lynn Lane Mini Trailer Park. So many fun things to do here at Sunk Lake, too delightful to be true. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Glover River; Possum Ford Bend is an attention-grabbing thing to catch a glimpse of while you're here.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Ouachita Mountains. Sunk Lake ordinarily gets a great deal of precipitation; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and January is when it's the driest. There's whitewater on Outlaw Creek for all you adrenaline junkies, and if you need a location to stay Microtel Inn Idabel is a delightful choice.
