If you like lakes and you're in this part of Oklahoma you can check out Sunk Lake. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Outlaw Creek, and a perfect close by hotel is Microtel Inn Idabel. So many amusing things to do here in the Ouachita Mountains, too great to be true. Hiking along the Beaver Lodge Nature Trail is tremendous fun, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? you need to camp here for a while, Hochatown State Park is a great place for that. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Sunk Lake you can take a hike along the Little Horseshoe Trail.
Sunk Lake is a beautiful lake in
the Ouachita Mountains. A cool spot to go to close to Sunk Lake is Possum Ford Bend, and if you need a place to stay Quality Inn Idabel is a delightful choice. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Lynn Lane Mini Trailer Park;
going for a hike along the West Signal Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
A great deal of rainfall falls at Sunk Lake; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is January.
