Comfort Inn & Suites Paris is a great site to get some rest. South Lake is a beautiful lake in the Ouachita Mountains. Hiking is a popular thing to do around South Lake; Frazier Creek Trail is a great local trail, and don't forget to take a wonderful little trip to Dixon Branch. This lake is so wonderful. South Lake is right by the McFarland Trail; you can stay the night at Mountain Home RV Park. That right there is loads of       exciting things already but it goes on, the Ouachita Mountains has it all. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Tram Trail, and Lazy M RV Park is a great campground nearby. South Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most, and January meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to South Lake, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
