Shepard Lake is not far at all from Durant, and if you need a site to stay Microtel Inn and Suites Durant is a great choice. So many enjoyable things to do here at Shepard Lake, too nice to be true. Mobile Traveler RV Park is a great local campground. Summertime highs at Shepard Lake generally tend to be in the       90's while overnight lows are commonly in the 70's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 50's; overnight lows through the winter for Shepard Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Durant Country Club, and a great close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Durant. Shepard Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Coy Simmons RV Park is a fine                  place to camp nearby; obviously, this is a nice neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Mattingly Lake Number 2 is a lake in the vicinity.
