Many people like to go to Shadwick Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Creek; there is a brilliant hiking trail close by called the Billy Creek Trail. Shadwick Lake is a beautiful lake in the Ouachita Mountains. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Shadwick Lake. At Shadwick Lake Dam near Shadwick Lake there are some interesting things to see; a glorious place to camp here at Shadwick Lake is Winding

Shadwick Lake is a quite wet place generally with a great deal of rainfall; through May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. If you come at the right time of year, Kiamichi River offers some tremendous whitewater; close by you find the Boardstand Trail which is a great hiking trail. usually reach the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 70's. For the duration of the winter highs are commonly in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Shadwick Lake fall into the 20's.
