Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Big Eagle Creek - Eagle Fork. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Sallisaw Creek Site 17 Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Billy Creek Campground. The high level of rain makes Sallisaw Creek Site 17 Reservoir a relatively wet place;  
   the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the period of the summertime here at Sallisaw Creek Site 17 Reservoir, high temperatures commonly get into the 90's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 70's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 50's with temperatures at Sallisaw Creek Site 17 Reservoir dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.

This spot, the Ouachita Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. While staying at Sallisaw Creek Site 17 Reservoir you could always explore Goldville Divide, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Billy Creek Trail.
Having a delightful time at Sallisaw Creek Site 17 Reservoir is painless. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kiamichi River, and Horse Thief Springs is a brilliant local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. Time spent at Cedar Lake North Shore right next door to Sallisaw Creek Site 17 Reservoir is always great; you can stay the night at Horse Thief Spring Campground.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Ouachita Mountains. During your stay at Sallisaw Creek Site 17 Reservoir do go to close by Cedar Lake South Shore, and the Little Eagle Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by.
