So much amusing stuff to do at Rocket Pond, so little time. If you need a location to stay La Quinta Inn and Suites Lawton is a brilliant choice; since you're here, you could also go to gorgeous Upper Strange Pond. Through the summertime, highs typically are in the 90's at Rocket Pond, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs       are commonly in the 40's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Rocket Pond descend into the 20's. Camping is available at Granite Pointe RV Park; if the weather is beautiful, you obtain a tremendous panorama of Grierson Hill from Rocket Pond. Rocket Pond gets a common amount of rainfall; most of the rain falls through May, and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. Do stop at Geronimo Pond in the neighborhood                  of Rocket Pond, it's a beautiful lake; a nice close by hotel is Baymont Inn & Suites Lawton. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Wichita Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Jimmy Creek offers some wonderful whitewater. This lake is one of the great places here in the Wichita Mountains. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Wichita Mountains. Camping at Erwin Acres Mobile Home Park is always a fine experience; during your tour here you'll meet some people from Lawton for sure. If you're here at Rocket Pond and you like golf, you can explore Lawton Golf Course, and Meadowbrook Creek is in the vicinity of Rocket Pond and is always a delight to stop at.   La Quinta Inn and Suites Lawton, Lawton Coming Soon!
