Quanah Lake is located in the Wichita Mountains. At Quanah Lake during the summer months highs are in the 90's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Quanah Lake. If you adore the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Quanah Lake. If you need a site to stay Lawton Days Inn is a good choice.       The annual precipitation here at Quanah Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is May; the driest month of the year is January. Dry warm beds await you at Baymont Inn & Suites Lawton, and a wonderful lake like Canyon Lake is a good site to go to. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Wichita Mountains. Quanah Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Letra Campground and Picnic Area is a tremendous local campground, and in the event                  that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Jimmy Creek. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Quanah Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Doris Campground is a great spot for that, and why not go to Upper Canyon Lake Dam while you're here.
