Camping is available at Letra Campground and Picnic Area, and the peak of Arapaho Point can be made out from Quanah Lake. Paddling on Jimmy Creek is so much fun; you'll meet a lot of folks from Lawton here. Having a good time in the Wichita Mountains is trouble-free. A scenic lake like Upper Canyon Lake near Quanah Lake is a great place to pop by, and Baymont       Inn & Suites Lawton is a magnificent site to get some rest. Upper Canyon Lake Dam is wonderful and it's close to Quanah Lake, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop by Canyon Lake. The yearly rain here at Quanah Lake is about average; May is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The Wichita Mountains scenery is always beautiful. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Wichita                  Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Doris Campground is always a good experience, and if you need a place to stay La Quinta Inn and Suites Lawton is a pleasant choice. High temperatures at Quanah Lake during the days of summer are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's.
