Just can't get enough of the Wichita Mountains. There are other sites here than Post Oak Lake, for example Caddo Lake, and you'll probably meet some folks from Lawton here. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things near Post Oak Lake. Bad Lands is charming and can be seen from Post Oak Lake; a pleasant close by hotel is Baymont Inn & Suites Lawton. Post Oak Lake is one of the lakes here in the Wichita Mountains.       Camping at Letra Campground and Picnic Area is always a tremendous experience, also Post Oak Lake Dam is worth going to if you're here. An average amount of precipitation falls at Post Oak Lake; most of the rain falls through May, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Post Oak Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Doris Campground is a splendid local campground, and if you need a site to stay Snyder Motel is a                  glorious choice. And if that's not enough there's heaps more entertaining stuff to do in the Wichita Mountains. There are some good whitewater spots on Jimmy Creek, and while you're here why not visit Boulder Field. All through the months of summer highs here at Post Oak Lake get into the 90's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's.
