The Wichita Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. The wonderful people of Lawton like to hang out close by, and Doris Campground is a good local campground. Do go to Post Oak Lake Dam since you're here at Post Oak Lake; you'll locate a striking lake called Caddo Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Wichita Mountains. Lakes are such       serene locations, why not visit Treasure Lake next to Post Oak Lake, and on a delightful day you get a tremendous view of Bad Lands from Post Oak Lake. Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Post Oak Lake. If you need a spot to stay La Quinta Inn and Suites Lawton is a great choice, and Letra Campground and Picnic Area is a great campground nearby. So much entertaining stuff in the Wichita Mountains, just unbelievable.                  A great place to stop at near Post Oak Lake is Boulder Field, and get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Jimmy Creek.
