After a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Inn/Checotah is a splendid site to spend a night or two, obviously you could also stop at Fenton Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Summer at Porum Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 70's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Porum Lake are in the 20's. Here       at Porum Lake you'll probably meet some people from Muskogee. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Crazy woman Campground since you're here at Porum Lake, and why not have a look at Porum Lake Dam if you're here. Porum Lake gets a typical amount of rain; during the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is January. Yeah, come up here to the Ouachita Mountains for a nice time.
