Lowrance Lake is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. That right there is a load already, but it carries on; Lowrance Lake has it all. Dry warm beds await you at Microtel Inn and Suites Davis; Washita River is a great whitewater spot close by. Sulphur Super 8 Motel is a brilliant spot to get some rest; you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Cliffside Trail.
Lowrance Lake is a good spot of typical rain; May is the month that gets the

most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. If you haven’t been to Chickasaw National Recreation Area, you have to schedule some time for it while you're here, and if you've had enough of Lowrance Lake, Mill Creek Watershed 10 Reservoir is close by. Camping is available at Eastside Trailer Park; you're perhaps interested in lakes, Lake Placid is one of those close by.
For the period of the months of summer at Lowrance Lake temperatures are commonly

in the 90's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 70's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Lowrance Lake. It's a nice idea to explore Dry Creek, it's near Lowrance Lake, and a short visit to Lowrance Springs is always worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Platt Trailer Park is a great place to camp; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pennington Creek.

I've been here several times. There are lots of pretty spots for photos. You can hike down to the creek and cool off and there are lots of deer in the area. The entire trail is not too long and its a nice way to spend an afternoon....

Pennington Creek
19 miles away
You certainly want to come when the water is up and flowing. A lot of walking and carrying your boat otherwise. The bottom is very rocky and uneven, and the creek gets wide in several spots. With the water at the current Level (06-21-2008) you will not be able to paddle through most of the creek. Devil Den, Slippery Falls, or pennington falls, all are to shallow to paddle. These are the areas that have the larger rapids when the creek is up and flowing. So they are also the places that the bottom sticks up the highest and hinders your paddle when the water is down.A great place to put in is Camp Bond it is five miles North of Tishomingo. They do have cabins and rv hook ups there. A path right up to the creek with a zip line going across and snack shack right by the water. You can take out just above the golf course at the low bridge, there are several houses there just north of the golf course the bridge is on the North side. Just before the damn. This run is about 4.5 miles maybe 5 on the outside. ...
