Gainesville City Municipal Golf Course is a brilliant golf course nearby, and Leeper Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Ardmore/Marietta KOA is a wonderful local campground. Best Western Southwinds is a good place to get some rest, and this is a popular place for people from Gainesville.

A wonderful close by hotel is Microtel Inns & Suites Thackerville, Ok. There's so much to do here at Leeper Lake that you need to camp here for a while, David's RV Trailer Park is a magnificent place for that. The amount of precipitation that falls at Leeper Lake is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is May; January meanwhile is the driest month.
