Near Lake Talihina you come across glorious places like Devils Hollow, and after a long day outdoors Travelers Inn Motel is a brilliant site to spend a night or two. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Ouachita Mountains. Go for a hike on the K Trail; you can take a little spree to Talihina Lake Dam if you're here at Lake Talihina. This lake is located in the wonderful Ouachita Mountains. This lake is so       wonderful. Take a side journey to Rock Creek, and don't leave Lake Talihina without first going for a hike along the Wildhorse Trail. Lake Talihina is a wet location that gets a good deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May, and January is when it's the driest. And if that's not enough, there's heaps more to do right next door to Lake Talihina. If you need a place to stay Sportsmans Lodge is a tremendous choice. Good hiking is available                  along the Boardstand Trail; Lake Carl Albert is a good lake close by. At Lake Talihina all through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 90's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's.
