Lake Rush is a tremendous spot to camp, Letra Campground and Picnic Area is a tremendous spot, and Rush Lake Dam is an interesting thing to check out. All through the summertime months, highs usually are in the 90's at Lake Rush. Summer night lows sink down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures       at Lake Rush dip into the 20's. And if that's not enough there's a lot more cool stuff to do in the Wichita Mountains. Central Peak is a peak you can see from Lake Rush; Baymont Inn & Suites Lawton is a nice place to get some rest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. The nice people of Lawton like to hang out nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Lawton Days Inn. Lake Rush is a good location of normal precipitation; May is when you get the most rain                  here, and January on the other hand is the driest. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Wichita Mountains. Lake Rush is not the only place nearby, Jed Johnston Lake is a nearby lake. Get dripping wet paddling on Jimmy Creek, and Turtle Springs is an inspiring spot to check out while you're here. Doris Campground is a fine campground here; everyone loves Graham Flat.
