A normal amount of rain falls here at Lake Murray; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month is January. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Lake Murray. Lake Murray Dam is not far at all from Lake Murray, and you can stay the night at Ardmore/Marietta KOA. La Quinta Inn and Suites Ardmore is a magnificent location to get some rest, and don't forget to take a tremendous little spree to       Anadarche Creek. Tucker Tower is an out of the ordinary place to have a look at while at Lake Murray, and after a long day outdoors Candlewood Suites ARDMORE is a nice place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Lake Murray, you'll find H T Hicks Reservoir which is a gorgeous lake; Lake Murray is a nice spot to visit for more than one day, Buzzard Roost Campground is a nice spot to camp nearby. You're sure to bump into some wonderful                  people from Ardmore here. Lakes? Sure, Chickasaw Lake is in the vicinity, and Washita River is a wonderful whitewater spot close by. For the duration of the summertime, highs typically are in the 90's at Lake Murray; during summer nights temperatures are in the 70's.
