From a rainfall point of view Lake Lawtonka is a reasonably typical place; May is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Man, is there plenty of fun stuff to do close to Lake Lawtonka. Lake Lawtonka is not far at all from Lawton, and Lawton Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. So many entertaining things to do here in the Wichita Mountains,       too fine to be true. Deer Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth a visit, and the peak of Mountain Cumming can be seen from Lake Lawtonka. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay La Quinta Inn and Suites Lawton is a great choice. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lake Lawtonka has to offer, you can camp at Letra Campground and Picnic Area. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Lake Lawtonka; the nighttime                  is quite cooler of course, mostly in the 60's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 40's while Lake Lawtonka overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 20's. All year is a brilliant time in the Wichita Mountains if you like the outdoors. You can run the rapids of Jimmy Creek in the vicinity of Lake Lawtonka, and Baymont Inn & Suites Lawton is a fine place to get some rest. Lake Lawtonka is located in the Wichita Mountains. The Mount Cummins is one of the things that make Lake Lawtonka so brilliant.
