And if that's not enough there's loads more entertaining things to do in the Wichita Mountains. You're sure to come across some smiling       folks from Lawton here, and from Lake Jed Johnson you get a magnificent sight of Central Peak. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant trip to Graham Flat is a tremendous way to spend an afternoon, and if you come at the right time of year, Jimmy Creek offers some nice whitewater. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Wichita Mountains. There's so much to do here at Lake Jed Johnson that you need to                  camp here for a while, Doris Campground is a nice site for that, and a short trip to Turtle Springs is always worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. At Lake Jed Johnson through the long summer days highs are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Lake Jed Johnson. Lake Jed Johnson is located in the Wichita Mountains. Lake Jed Johnson gets a typical amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most, and January is when it's the driest. La Quinta Inn and Suites Lawton is a perfect spot to get some rest; Lake Jed Johnson is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Letra Campground and Picnic Area is a wonderful local campground.
