So many fun things to do in the Wichita Mountains, not sufficient time. During your spree to Kiowa Lake you'll meet some people from Lawton for sure; Elk Pass is a fine site to pop by. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Kiowa Lake. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 70's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's while Kiowa Lake night low temperatures all through       the winter are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant nearby hotel is La Quinta Inn and Suites Lawton, and you should certainly dedicate some time to Big Bull Pasture if you're here at Kiowa Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Deer Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at, and whitewater paddling is good on Jimmy Creek. Yeah, come here to Kiowa Lake for a great time. Kiowa Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Doris                  Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and Baymont Inn & Suites Lawton is a splendid place to get some rest. Kiowa Lake Dam is a place that is near Kiowa Lake, and one of the principal marks of the surroundings of Kiowa Lake is Elk Mountain. Put some time aside to spend at Cold Spring since you're here at Kiowa Lake, and if you get bored of Kiowa Lake you could also go to nearby Kiowa Lake. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Wichita Mountains. Kiowa Lake is not the only site close by, Caddo Lake is a close by lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Kiowa Lake has to offer, you can camp at Letra Campground and Picnic Area. Kiowa Lake is a good place of normal precipitation; the wettest month of the year is regularly May, that's the one that rains the most while January is commonly the driest month.
