This lake is located in the wonderful Ouachita Mountains. And that's not everything you can do here in the Ouachita Mountains. Take a hike on the Crumb Creek Trail, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby McAlester. The High Rock Trail offers hiking at its best; if you came to camp Super 8 Motel and RV Park is a nice site to do that. If you get bored of Hartshorne       Lake, you could also have a look at close by Hartshorne Lake, and Hartshorne Lake Dam is a site that is near Hartshorne Lake. High temperatures at Hartshorne Lake throughout the warmest time of the year are in the 90's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Hartshorne Lake dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. Just can't get enough of the Ouachita Mountains.
