Ham Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Colbert Koa Kampground is a nice local campground; after a long day outdoors Texoma Inn is a perfect site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect close by hotel is Microtel Inn and Suites Durant; camping at KOA Colbert/Durant is always a good experience. An average amount of rainfall falls at Ham Lake; most of the       rain falls throughout May; January is the month with the least moisture. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Ham Lake. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Ham Lake temperatures fall to the 20's. A golf course next to Ham Lake is Durant Country Club; Ham Lake Dam is gorgeous. There is a glorious hiking trail in close proximity to Ham Lake                  called the Herman Baker Park Trail, and Ham Lake is not far at all from Durant. On a great day at Ham Lake you can take a hike along the Eisenhower State Park Trail, and if you get bored of Ham Lake you could also stop by nearby McCarley Lake.   Microtel Inn and Suites Durant, Durant 6 miles away Free local and long distance calls.
