Gaither Lake is always a pleasure to visit. What a location this is for outdoors folks. Coal Creek flows through this area, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Traders Inn is a great choice. At Gaither Lake through the summer months highs are in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 70's. During the winter highs are mostly in the 50's with temperatures at Gaither Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.

| | Near Gaither Lake you find the Billy Creek Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn.
You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Ouachita Mountains. Why not camp at Big Cedar RV Park and Cabins if you're here at Gaither Lake; there are some good whitewater spots on Kiamichi River. January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This is a popular location for folks from Fort Smith, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Big Creek.

wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Beaver Lake is in the neighborhood of Gaither Lake. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Ouachita Mountains. This is a good region for people who like lakes. Wister Lake is a lake
in the neighborhood, and an interesting thing to have a look at near Gaither Lake is Gaither Lake Dam. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Horse Thief Spring Campground is a pleasant spot to camp, and going
for a hike on the Boardstand Trail is always a fine adventure.
The Ouachita Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
