This lake is one of the great places here in the Ouachita Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Horse Thief Spring Campground is a good site to camp; get dripping wet paddling on Big Creek. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Ouachita Mountains will keep you coming back many times. Not far from Gaither Lake, you'll stumble on Beaver Lake which is a stunning lake, and dry warm       beds await you at Days Inn. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Best Western Traders Inn is a great choice. Gaither Lake is a place with many visitors from Fort Smith, and hey, Coal Creek is a pleasant local stream. Gaither Lake gets lots of water; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while January is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Gaither Lake is close to Gaither Lake Dam which is a beautiful                  spot beyond doubt worth checking out, and you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Boardstand Trail. Yeah, come up here to the Ouachita Mountains for a brilliant time. Whitewater paddling is great on Kiamichi River, and why not camp at Big Cedar RV Park and Cabins if you're here at Gaither Lake. So many fun things near Gaither Lake, absolutely striking. Take a hike on the Billy Creek Trail. Lakes? Sure, Clear Lake is in close proximity. For the duration of the summertime at Gaither Lake highs are regularly in the 90's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 70's.
