But wait, there's more to do near French Lake. Big Bull Pasture is a wonderful place any time of year; Letra Campground and Picnic Area is a good campground here. French Lake is located in the Wichita Mountains. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Wichita Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Snyder Motel; almost certainly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Apache Lake       is just a very short distance away. French Lake Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out; Jimmy Creek is a great whitewater spot nearby. A typical amount of rain falls here at French Lake; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. All year is a brilliant time in the Wichita Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. This is a popular location for people from Lawton, and why not                  a little side trip to Deer Creek. During the warmest time of the year, highs regularly are in the 90's at French Lake. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are generally in the 40's, and night lows during the winter for French Lake tend to be in the 20's.
