This lake is one of the great places here in the Ouachita Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent close by hotel is Best Value Inn and Suites-McAlester/Savanna. The fine folks of McAlester like to hang out close by, and a magnificent place to camp here at Dr Number 3 Reservoir is Super 8 Motel and RV Park. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Ouachita Mountains. Mcalester Super       8 Motel is a perfect site to get some rest; a stunning lake like Dr Number 2 Reservoir is a wonderful location to stop at. During the summer months here at Dr Number 3 Reservoir, high temperatures generally reach the 90's, and the night is quite colder of course, frequently in the 70's. Highs all through the winter are usually in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Dr Number 3 Reservoir through the winter typically plunge into the 20's.
