If you're stopping by Dow Lake from McAlester, you won't be the only one, and Dow Lake is right by the Crumb Creek Trail. Dow Lake is one of the lakes here in the Ouachita Mountains. Blue Creek is a good location to visit; if you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Mcalester is a tremendous choice. Summertime highs at Dow Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 90's. Once the sun is down       it plunges down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Dow Lake tend to be in the 20's. All year is a tremendous time in the Ouachita Mountains if you go for the outdoors. Stay the night at Super 8 Motel and RV Park; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites MCALESTER-GEORGE NIGH EXP.. And that's not all you can do here at Dow Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike                  along the Clear Creek Trail. Dow Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; through May this area sees the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.
