Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Wichita Mountains. Some close by water includes Cow Creek; you're probably keen on lakes, Quanah Parker Lake is one of those close by. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Crater Lake reach the 90's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's,       and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Crater Lake temperatures descend to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Baymont Inn & Suites Lawton is a perfect choice. And if that's not enough there's a heap more fun things to do in the Wichita Mountains. During your tour to Crater Lake you'll meet some people from Lawton for sure, and if you've had enough of Crater Lake, Quanah Parker Lake is close by. Places like Sulphur                  Flat are splendid to check out; Winborn Spring is an inspiring place to visit while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn and Suites Lawton; Letra Campground and Picnic Area is a great campground nearby. Crater Lake is located in the Wichita Mountains. Doris Campground is a magnificent local campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Jimmy Creek. From a rain point of view Crater Lake is a quite normal location; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is January.
