This lake is so wonderful. Visit Anderson Creek while you're here at Clayton Lake, and while you're here       you can take a hike along the Clayton Trail. A fine place to camp here at Clayton Lake is Indian Mounds Camp, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not go to Lake Nanih Waiya. So much exciting stuff to do in the Ouachita Mountains, not enough time. Throughout the warmest time of the year here at Clayton Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 70's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in                  the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Clayton Lake. Clayton Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is located in the wonderful Ouachita Mountains. There are other sites here than Clayton Lake, for example Sardis Lake, and there are plenty of folks from McAlester here at Clayton Lake. This place, the Ouachita Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing stuff.
