If you come at the right time of year, Washita River offers some wonderful whitewater, and SUPER 8 MOTEL - ARDMORE is a brilliant location to get some rest. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Arbuckle Mountains. Do take a look at City Lake near City Lake, it's a pretty lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything City Lake has to offer, you can camp at Shady Cove RV Park. At City Lake all through       the warm months highs are in the 90's, and the night is a little colder of course, commonly in the 70's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at City Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Lakeview Golf Course, and at City Lake you always meet someone from Ardmore. If you need a spot to stay La Quinta Inn Ardmore is a good choice, and a trip to                  Chickasaw National Recreation Area is recommended. There's so much to do here at City Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Murray State Park is a great place for that, and do take a hike on the Cliffside Trail. This lake is so wonderful. All year is a delightful time in the Arbuckle Mountains if you love the outdoors. While you're here at City Lake, you could also stop by delightful Noble Lake, and wonderful water scenery is available at City Lake Dam close to City Lake. City Lake is a good place of normal rainfall; during May this area sees the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest.
