Get wet paddling on Big Creek; a wonderful place to stop at close by is Lundy Divide. Cedar Lake is one of the lakes here in the Ouachita Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Cedar Lake Dam is worth stopping at while you're here; going for a hike on the Little Eagle Trail is always a fine adventure. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Days Inn is a nice choice; camping is available       at Horse Thief Spring Campground. Just can't get enough of the Ouachita Mountains. Time spent at Cedar Lake North Shore near Cedar Lake is always great, obviously you could also pop by Cedar Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. So much fun stuff to do at Cedar Lake, so little time. While you're here at Cedar Lake you will meet lots of people from nearby Fort Smith, and it's a nice idea to go to Crooked Branch. And if that's not enough there's lots                  more fun stuff to do in the Ouachita Mountains. On a splendid day at Cedar Lake you can take a hike along the Billy Creek Trail, and you can spend the day on the beach at Cedar Lake South Shore. During the summertime months, highs commonly are in the 90's at Cedar Lake with night lows in the 70's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 50's, and night lows during the wintertime for Cedar Lake tend to be in the 20's. Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Ouachita Mountains. Just can't get enough of Cedar Lake. Best Western Traders Inn is a tremendous site to get some rest, and at Cedar Lake you can see Post Mountain. A wonderful site to camp here at Cedar Lake is Big Cedar RV Park and Cabins, and if you've had enough of Cedar Lake, Sallisaw Creek Site 17 Reservoir is nearby. Cedar Lake frequently gets a good deal of rain; most of the rain falls during May; January is the month with the least moisture.
