At Cedar Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 90's while nighttime lows are usually in the 70's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Cedar Lake temperatures drop to the 20's. Why not check out close by Crooked Branch while you're here at Cedar Lake; Days Inn is a fine spot to get some rest. Cedar Lake is a       wet spot that gets lots of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly May, that's the one that rains the most, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is wonderful here at Cedar Lake, you can go for a hike along the Little Eagle Trail; if you get bored of Cedar Lake you could also visit nearby Cedar Lake. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Ouachita Mountains. This lake is so wonderful.                  Near Cedar Lake you find great places like Lundy Divide, and Big Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. But wait, there's more to do close to Cedar Lake. A lake nearby is Sallisaw Creek Site 17 Reservoir, and Cedar Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Big Cedar RV Park and Cabins is a splendid local campground. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Ouachita Mountains. Cedar Lake is not far at all from Fort Smith; camping at Horse Thief Spring Campground is always a fine experience. This place, Cedar Lake, it truly has so much outdoors fun stuff. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kiamichi River, and going for a hike along the Boardstand Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. So many enjoyable things in the Ouachita Mountains, just mind-blowing.
