Cedar Lake in fact is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Snake Mountain is trouble-free to spot from Cedar Lake; if you came to camp Horse Thief Spring Campground is a great place to do that. That right there is plenty of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Ouachita Mountains has it all. One of the best things about       Cedar Lake is its proximity to Cedar Lake South Shore, and there are plenty of folks from Fort Smith here. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Kiamichi River, and Lundy Divide is another magnificent place to pop by nearby. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Ouachita Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Cedar                  Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Big Cedar RV Park and Cabins is a fine spot for that; if you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop by Cedar Lake Dam. Be careful coming to the Ouachita Mountains, you might not ever wanna return home again. If you need a place to stay Days Inn and Suites Poteau is a delightful choice, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Boardstand Trail. Cedar Lake is one of the lakes here in the Ouachita Mountains. Cedar Lake typically gets a lot of rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. There are other spots here than Cedar Lake, for example Cedar Lake; close by you come across the Little Eagle Trail which is a good hiking trail. Spend the day on the beach at Cedar Lake North Shore while you're here at Cedar Lake; the Billy Creek Trail is a good hiking trail close by. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area in the vicinity of Cedar Lake has to offer. During the months of summer at Cedar Lake highs are typically in the 90's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 70's.
