The scenery at Upper Canyon Lake Dam near Canyon Lake is charming, and dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn and Suites Lawton. Canyon Lake is a beautiful lake in the Wichita Mountains. That right there is lots of fun things already but it goes on, the Wichita Mountains has it all. Canyon Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Doris Campground is a great local campground,       and Canyon Lake is not the only place close by, Potawatomi Twins Reservoir is a close by lake. While you're here at Canyon Lake it's a glorious idea to explore Sulphur Flat; Hackney Spring is a pleasant local attraction. The amount of precipitation that falls at Canyon Lake is close to the national average; during May this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Baymont Inn & Suites                  Lawton is a tremendous choice; Arapaho Point can be distinguished from Canyon Lake. Be careful coming to the Wichita Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Jimmy Creek; Canyon Lake is not far at all from Lawton. During the warmest time of the year here at Canyon Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 90's while overnight lows are frequently in the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's; night lows through the winter for Canyon Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. A magnificent location to camp here at Canyon Lake is Letra Campground and Picnic Area, and if you get bored of Canyon Lake you could also visit nearby Upper Canyon Lake.   La Quinta Inn and Suites Lawton, Lawton 13 miles away Coming Soon!
