This lake is so wonderful. Very fine water scenery is available at Callaway Lake Dam next to Callaway Lake, and during your spree here you'll meet some people from Durant for sure. Callaway Lake is not the only location close by, Isom 3 Lake is a close by lake; it's a great idea to stop at North Branch J-N Creek. A great deal of precipitation falls at Callaway Lake; May is the       month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. Camping at Coy Simmons RV Park is always a great experience, and a lake nearby is Callaway Lake. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. After a long day outdoors Microtel Inn and Suites Durant is a wonderful site to spend a night or two. Callaway Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Mobile Traveler RV Park is a good local campground, and Holiday                  Inn Express Hotel & Suites DURANT is a fine spot to get some rest. For the duration of the summertime months highs here at Callaway Lake get into the 90's. Summer night lows drop down to the 70's.
