In Oklahoma there are many beautiful lakes, Broken Bow Lake is one of them. The Ouachita Mountains scenery is always beautiful. At Broken Bow Dam in the neighborhood of Broken Bow Lake there are some interesting things to see; close by Arnet Gap is a wonderful place to go. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Mountain Fork, and if you're here, you could also visit scenic Calahan Lake.

Beavers Bend is an attention-grabbing location to explore while at Broken Bow Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Outlaw Creek offers some perfect whitewater, and Comfort Suites Idabel is a
good place to get some rest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Ouachita Mountains. There's so much to do here at Broken Bow Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Beavers Bend Resort Park is a good spot for that, and if
you need a place to stay Microtel Inn Broken Bow is a splendid choice.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Broken Bow Lake a wet place; through May this area sees the most rain while January is usually the driest month.
Through the summertime at Broken Bow Lake highs are ordinarily in the 90's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Broken Bow Lake tend to be in the 30's.
