And that's not everything there is to do here in the Ouachita Mountains. If you need a location to stay Quality Inn Idabel is a good choice. Broken Bow Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the month with most of the rain is May; the driest month of the year is January. The Ouachita Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Hiking along the Beaver Lodge Nature Trail is great fun, and after a long day outdoors Microtel Inn       Broken Bow is a good spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Broken Bow Lake, you'll come across Broken Bow City Lake which is a stunning lake, and Broken Bow Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Lake Pine Retreat Campground is a great site to camp nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Mountain Fork, and do check out Broken Bow City Lake Dam if you're here. Through                  the summertime months at Broken Bow Lake temperatures are mostly in the 90's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Broken Bow Lake are in the 30's. Get wet paddling on Outlaw Creek, and Hochatown State Park is a good local campground. So much cool stuff in the Ouachita Mountains, just extraordinary. Lakes?
