Apache Lake is a beautiful lake in the Wichita Mountains. A pleasant close by hotel is Baymont Inn & Suites Lawton, unsurprisingly you could also take a look at Burford Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Greenleaf Canyon is a magnificent site to check out nearby. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Apache Lake has to offer, you can camp at Letra       Campground and Picnic Area. While you're here at Apache Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Lawton; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Jimmy Creek. And if that's not enough there's a lot more entertaining stuff to do in the Wichita Mountains. Gray Wolf Spring is an inspiring spot to pop by during your stay, and the vista of beautiful Cedar Mountain is brilliant. From a precipitation point of view                  Apache Lake is a relatively typical place; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Now, you may feel that's loads but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Wichita Mountains. Don't forget to take a magnificent little visit to Fawn Creek, and Burford Lake Dam is not far at all from Apache Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something near Apache Lake?
