Why not stop by Winchester Lake if you're passing through these parts. Looking for some flowing water? Try Turkey Run, and Big Three Mile Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. Winchester Lake Dam is stunning and it's close to Winchester Lake, and Winchester Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Woodland Lake Campground is a splendid local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Paw Paw Trail, and paddling on Straight

The amount of precipitation that falls at Winchester Lake is close to the national average; through the month of May you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is January. If you're visiting Winchester Lake from Maysville, you won't be the only one. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great world it would be. Throughout the days of summer at Winchester Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the
30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Winchester Lake. A tremendous location to camp here at Winchester Lake is Twin Islands Campground; a brilliant nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Seaman.
