Going for a hike along the Emerald Woods Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. There's so much to do here at Winandi Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Green Meadows Campgrounds is a delightful place       for that. For the period of the warm months here at Winandi Reservoir, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's; the night is a little cooler of course, usually in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Winandi Reservoir sink into the 10's. Winandi Reservoir gets a large amount of water; most of the rain falls throughout May while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
