This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Wilmington Reservoir Number One without first going for a hike along the Dogwood Trail, and Wilmington Reservoir Number One is great enough to spend more than a day at, Thousand Trails is a great local campground. Summertime highs at Wilmington Reservoir Number One frequently tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down       into the 60's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Wilmington Reservoir Number One dip into the 10's. Going for a hike on the Lotus Cove Trail is always a tremendous adventure; if you need a place to stay Baymont Inn & Suites Wilmington is a magnificent choice. This lake is so wonderful. Massie's Creek has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby; Wilmington Upground Reservoir Dam Number One is a spot that is in close proximity to Wilmington Reservoir Number One. Don't forget to take a wonderful little tour to Indian Run; you'll meet a lot of folks from Wilmington here. Paddling on Caesar Creek is so much fun. There's so much to do here at Wilmington Reservoir Number One that you need to camp here for a while, Beechwood Acres Camping is a delightful place for that.
