The beauty of Wiegand Lake is reason enough to stop by. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Brandywine, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chagrin River - East Branch. Really pleasant skiing awaits you at Alpine Valley; Paw Paw Lake Dam is a wonderful place, unquestionably worth stopping at.

| | nearby golf course like Berkshire Hills Golf Club. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Wiegand Lake has to offer, you can camp at Camp Ho Mita KODA. This lake is so wonderful. There is a tremendous hiking trail in the neighborhood of Wiegand Lake called the Mushers Trail, and close by you hit upon the Mohawk Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. There's so much to do here at Wiegand Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Geauga Lake Campground is a fine site for that; you'll meet a lot of folks from Akron here. This lake is so wonderful.
If you need a location to stay Bertram Inn & Conference Center is a brilliant choice; a pleasant place for whitewater paddling is Chagrin River - Aurora Branch. Wiegand Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; most of the rain
falls during September, and February on the other hand is the driest.
Throughout the months of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Wiegand Lake; the overnight is fairly cooler of course, frequently in the 60's. Highs all through the winter are frequently in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Wiegand Lake.
