The beauty of White Lake attracts many people from all around. From a rainfall point of view White Lake is a quite typical place; through the month of May you get the most rain around here while January is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's glorious hiking along the Southwoods Trail, and if you need a site to stay Best Western Clermont is a tremendous choice. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Horner Run, and Red Roof Inn Cincinnati East - Beechmont is a fine place to get some rest. Summertime highs at White Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. Horner Run
 | Horner is a great run with 3 major drops from 6 feet to 10-11 feet, the only problem is the take out. First you could carry the mile and a half out a trail on river left, or go under interstate 275 through a 100 yard long tunnel scout the tunnel first for strainers, third you could walk several hundred yards up to 275 and get out on the interstate shoulder. With all this in mind you might as well say forget Horner and head for Halls creek or Hershel run. Both have way easier put-in's and take out's... |
