There's so much to do here at Walden Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Geauga Lake Campground is a nice site for that, and going for a hike on the Iroquois Trail is always a great adventure. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll adore Walden Lake. There's no such thing as a bad day       of skiing at nearby Alpine Valley, and close by you stumble on the Mohawk Trail which is a good hiking trail. The yearly rainfall here at Walden Lake is about average; most of the rain falls throughout June while January is typically the driest month. A trip to Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area is recommended, and the Mushers Trail is a magnificent hiking trail close by. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Why not spend some                  time golfing at a close by golf course like Grantwood Golf Course, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chagrin River - Aurora Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side journey to Pond Brook, and Cuyahoga River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Walden Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Walden Lake dip into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Walden Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Mar-lynn Lake Park is a good local campground, and Brandywine has great slopes and a friendly staff. If you need a place to stay Bertram Inn & Conference Center is a brilliant choice, and you're sure to encounter some smiling folks from Akron here.
