Scott: The dam was washed out in 2007, and is under repair. In the meantime it is very neat to be able to see the bottom of the lake. When I was a kid there used to be wooden toggonan runs that shot the tobbogans out onto the frozen lake at the end. The nearby Virginia Hills are still a great place for sledding, one of the best in the area. Tamsin Park has been replaced by a housing subdivision. However, not far from Virginia Kendall in Boston is a American Youth Hostel, and there are several bed and breakfasts in the area as well. I don't know of any place to camp in the area (unless you are a boy or girl scout, they have camps nearby.) If you enjoy biking, the nearby towpath trail winds along the old canal from Cleveland to Akron, and is a beautiful ride.
