Hiking along the Riverview Trail is glorious fun; you'll meet a lot of people from Parkersburg-Marietta here. You clearly have to fancy Veto Lake. Buffalo Run flows through this region; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Goodfellows Park Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Oxbow Golf & Country Club is a tremendous way to kill       some time; dry warm beds await you at Wingate by Wyndham Vienna WV. After a long day outdoors Parkersburg Knights Inn is a fine spot to spend a night or two, and not far from Veto Lake you obtain some fine water scenery at Veto Lake Dam. Veto Lake is a relatively wet place typically with a good deal of precipitation; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Stay the night at River's Bend Campgrounds. Veto Lake                  is a great place to visit for more than one day, Edgelawn Campgrounds is a great place to camp nearby. Lakes are tremendous; Highland Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Veto Lake. Summertime highs at Veto Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's.
