University Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. in the neighborhood of University Pond you'll discover a wooded vicinity called Saint Johns Woods, and paddling on Maumee River is so much fun. All through the warm months here at University Pond, high temperatures generally reach the 80's, and the nighttime is quite colder of course, generally in the 60's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight

Maumee River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by, and why not camp at Firelake Camper Park since you're here at University Pond. A perfect site to camp here at University Pond is Portage Quarry Recreation Club, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Falcon Plaza is a fine place to spend a night or two. Green is a glorious choice; an afternoon playing golf at Bowling Green Country Club is always a diversion.
University Pond gets a common amount of annual rain; June is when you get the most rain here while February is the month
with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Here at University Pond there are plenty of folks from Toledo, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Lake Shore Trail.
