    If you are in Gallia county it's always a good idea to stop by Tycoon Lake. There are other sites here than Tycoon Lake, for example Rio Grande Reservoir; it's a fine idea to check out Barren Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Lots of folks from Point Pleasant come to Tycoon Lake, and after a long day outdoors Gallipolis/ Point Pleasant Super 8 Motel is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. Summertime highs at Tycoon Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's,  
   and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are regularly in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Tycoon Lake temperatures descend to the 10's.
Camping is available at Old Town Campgrounds, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Gallipolis-Point Pleasant, Oh. An average amount of rainfall falls at Tycoon Lake; all through the month of July you get the most rain around here; January
 
               is when it's the driest. Take a hike on the Acorn Trail.
Lakes? Sure, Tycoon Lake is around here, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Tycoon Lake; Deer Hollow Trail is a tremendous local trail. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Tycoon Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Lazy Dog Camp-Resort is a nice place to camp, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Natural Gorge Trail.
