Twin Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Fox Fire Resort is a delightful local campground, and there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Natural Gorge Trail. If you need a place to stay Pullman Plaza Hotel is a delightful choice; Fitch Hollow is a pleasant site to stop at. Looking for some flowing water? Try Mounts Branch; a splendid close       by hotel is Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Huntington, Wv. A typical amount of rain falls here at Twin Lake; August is the month that gets the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you come at the right time of year, Mud River offers some nice whitewater; there are plenty of people from Huntington-Ashland here. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Deer Hollow Trail is always a wonderful adventure. There's                  so much to do here at Twin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Beech Fork State Park is a great place for that. Throughout the days of summer at Twin Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's.
