     Camping at Indian Springs Campground is always a fine experience, and let's not forget Fox Run which is a stream that you may stumble upon during your stay. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun things just keep reading. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Hidden Valley Lake; nearby you come across the Little Turtle Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a  
   kayak and hit Great Miami River, and Long Island Beach is a delightful beach to explore.
Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Sugar Ridge Golf Club; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites HARRISON. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Tumlin Lake; May is when you get the most rain here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.                whitewater spots on Gunpowder Creek, and a glorious site to camp here at Tumlin Lake is Hickory Lake Campground.
Not far from Tumlin Lake, you'll find Twin Lakes which is a beautiful lake, and the Blue Jacket Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. All through the summer months at Tumlin Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and the overnight is somewhat cooler of course, frequently in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Tumlin Lake. Here at Tumlin Lake you'll possibly meet some people from Cincinnati-Middletown, and Tumlin Lake Dam is a scenic location, undeniably worth checking out.
And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do in the neighborhood of Tumlin Lake. The slopes of Perfect North are so inviting nobody can resist, and if you need a place to stay Howard Johnson Harrison is a perfect choice.

Great Miami River
Having paddled the 70 miles of the Great Miami, the WW is great for beginners or rec paddlers wanting to have a little excitement added to their trip.  Water Quality is good, in fact it can be better then the Little Miami during low water.  Best time to hit the GM is when it is running between 2500cfs and 3800cfs (Hamilton USGS gage if your looking for some WW.  There isn't too many places in the summer in the Midwest you can find good water and waves, but the Great Miami still flows well in August....50 hole is not much of a surf and it is a porta john.......

A few fellow snowboarders and I work and board at Paoli Peaks but unfortunately, we've been hit with warm wind and bad weather. We were dying get back to work and snowboard but it didn't happen. Sunday, we all packed up and headed up to Perfect North. I r...There's not many ski resorts around these parts but Perfect North is quite nice hill to ski on if you live in the area and you need to ski a bit....

wow thats crazy......ddle for the bank when we got up to the bank i push to get us on the bank and my paddle broke in half in my hand. so here we are about a mile down creek with one paddle.so much for old wooded paddles we packed the canoe around the tree and put back in well needless to say its hard to steer a canoe with one paddle . we met the first tree limb that was hanging over it knock our butts out of the boat .were going down the creek with the canoe upside down . there is no getting your footing . we finally got to a calm spot i guess a deep pool were we could get to the bank flip the canoe upright and proceed again it wasnt very long til the same type of deal happend again this time leaving the canoe pinned against a tree. the water was rushing in were you could not free it. finally tin worked it free the canoe spun out in the creek he had a hold on the rope that was tied to the front. well the rope broke there goes the canoe and we are not in it. tim swims after it like tarzan and catches it .we got it turn upright and notice that the canoe has a hole about the size of a softball in the bo...
