If you came for an overnight stay Bonita-osage Park is a glorious location to camp, and after a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Medina is a good place to spend a night or two. At Sunnyslope Lake during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while Sunnyslope Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. The yearly precipitation

Ridge Top Golf Course; a tremendous location for whitewater paddling is Rocky River - North Branch.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Cleveland Medina Red Roof Inn is a magnificent choice, and you're sure to
encounter some friendly people from Wooster here. This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Eds Lake, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rocky River - West Branch.

the week of july 3 has been a nasty one for yellow creek. a developer in richfield has clear cut into zoned conservation district. some of this district was even under the control of the western reserve conservation district and they were never informed. this land is within 100 feet of the northern most feeder creek to yellow creek. any help we could receive with this matter would be appreciated.... |

This is a great campground the people who own it are the kindest friendliest people you can meet. The camp sites are nice size and it is a quiet place to go and relax. They always have lots of activities planned for both kids and adults. We are doing our seasonal there next year. Mrs.Hands... |

The sewage treatment plant just up river of the put-in location can make paddling after a big rain a little smelly. The park doesn't recommend any paddling on the river, and if you are going you should check their website for construction on the bridges along the way.... |

You would be crazy to swim in that lake. The place is very polluted. This 'hood isn't exactly a vacation area.
...Summit Lake is an old man-made reservoir for the ohio/erie and ohio/pennsylvania canal systems in the area. There used to be an amusement park with beach/swimming area on the east side of the lake many years ago. Plenty of swimming spots just a mile or so south at Portage Lakes....Summit lake is an inner city lake that has no swimming. there is fishing but fish from the lake are not safe to eat, there have been 3 alligators caught there in recent years (seriously) The area is known to be quite dangerous after dark. There are some lovely areas just south of the city that are much safer. Summit Lake....not so much... |
