If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Chillicothe is a brilliant choice, and if you came for an overnight stay Sun Valley Campground is a delightful site to camp. Get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Paint Creek, and swing by Anderson Run it's a delightful place to stop at. This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time. This lake is so wonderful. Do have a look at Rustic Acres Lake near Sun Valley Lake, it's a charming lake, and the Hargus Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. Lake Hill is a nearby lake that you
could check out, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Adena Inn.
Lake Hill Campground is a splendid campground nearby, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Squawroot Nature Trail.

Our campground is situated on 65 acres of forested hills, with only 20 acres being developed into the campground. We offer large, private, shady sites, most with FHU, some sites upgraded to 50amp. This campground is not for those who prefer the resort quality accomidations, we are a bit more laid back. We don't have manicured lawns, but in the spring, the profussion of wild flowers sprinkled liberally in the grass almost make it a crime to mow it. (But we do!) We don't have meticuously maintained grounds that allow for the maximum number of sites per square feet, stacked up like dominoes ready to fall. We have large roomy sites that allow more of the feeling of camping in the great outdoors alone.
We have excellent toilet and shower facilities, as we just finished the new shower/toilet house, complete with ADA accessible facilities. There are four toilets and showers on the women's side and three showers, three toilets/two urina... |
Tanglewood Acres

While the new gentleman running Tanglewood Acres are keeping the horse camp open, the camp does not seem to be pulling in as many horseback riders as they had hoped. Could this be due to the economy? Gas prices have gone down, and with the rains of this summer, they are hoping the trails will be dry the months of August/ September/October for some beautiful riding. The local OHC county has maintained the trails for some time. Let's not waste these trail in our Ohio Parks. ... |
